Documents

Letters, newspapers, photographies, titles, magazines, books, cards, checkbooks, ecograms, audio, video, electromagnetic and data information not subject to a licence, being of judicial, commercial, bank nature, etc., and that are not destined for commercial use or is not prohibited for importation.

This category is free of taxes and does not require any type of control document before shipment.

Personal Effects

Packages with maximum of 4kg of weight and $400 of commercial value. This category is perfect for your online shopping.

General Cargo

In this category you can import every regular goods in shipments up to 100kg of weight and $5000 of commercial value. Except from textiles and shoes, everything that has a tariff heading can be included in this category.

This category is perfect for small commercial shipments.

Textiles and shoes

They are all packages with clothing, other made-up textile articles and footwear, which are not considered in Category B, must be declared in this category.

The weight cannot exceed 20 kg nor the value exceed US $ 2,000.00 (or its equivalent in another currency).

Medicines

Non-commercial packages containing medicine, orthopedic equipment, organs, tissues and cells; human fluids and other items required for emergency medical and surgical procedures; equipment and devices for people with disabilities, free of paying taxes justifying their need, either through the presentation of a prescription.

It does not include weight and value limitations, in the same way, prior control documents will not be required and as indicated in Art. 125 of COPCI the following products are exempt from paying taxes to foreign trade: Medical devices, special tools and prostheses used by people with disabilities for their use or by legal entities in charge of their protection.
